Plane Down at Local Airport – Last Night
February 25th, 2014 by iPhoneAround 5 PM, Monday evening, the landing gear on this Cessna 210 did not come down, as it was landing at the Monticello airport.
The plane landed. “belly down” on runway 3, then came to a stop on the grass next to the runway.
The pilot was the only occupant of the plane, and was not injured in the incident.
Reliable Wrecker lifted the plane by it’s propeller shaft, so the landing gear could be letdown.
The plane was then towed to the hanger for repair.
