African American Coalition of Arkansas (ACAA) announces its inaugural Frederick Douglass & Abraham Lincoln (HBCU) Scholarship application
January 16th, 2020 by SubmittedThe AACA is proud to announce that it will offer 1 scholarship of $500 each to a student attending Arkansas Baptist College, Philander Smith College, Shorter College, and the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. The primary focus of the scholarship is to assist students attending historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) offering the opportunity to assist with tuition, books, or even housing.
The goal is equipping students with the funding necessary and aiding our historically black colleges in their efforts to build stronger communities. The amount of scholarships available is one $500 scholarship to a student attending each of the four Arkansas (HBCU) campuses. The total scholarship award for all four eligible Arkansas (HBCUs) is $2,000.

The deadline for applications is January 31, 2020.
The scholarship will be awarded by February 15, 2020.
Scholarship Application Qualifications:
A student currently attending Arkansas Baptist College, Philander Smith College, Shorter College, and the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff
2.75 GPA or better
Completing a Frederick Douglass & Abraham Lincoln (HBCU) scholarship application
Completing an essay topic
