AEHC Spring Education Workshop
April 12th, 2023 by Club OfficerThe Arkansas Extension Homemaker’s Spring Education Workshop was held March 8, 2023, at the Wyndham Hotel in North Little Rock. The theme was Step Out, Step Up, Step In.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Pam Pruett, Family & Consumer Sciences Agent in Mississippi County. The topic was In Step Together. She encouraged us to be knowledgeable of policies and procedures, so we can work well with others and deliver effective programs. Some of the information that she shared was on the role of the agent and the role of Extension Homemakers in the county. For example: FCS Agents attend the following statewide EHC events:
- Spring Workshop – March (usually the second Wednesday), focus on education, community service, and leadership skills.
- State EHC Meeting, usually the first week of June.
- District Rallies – October (mid-late)
- Ozark Craft Outing (optional attendance); early November
Drew County had five women to attend the Spring Workshop: Photo left to right -Claudia Horton, Hazelene McCray- FCS agent, Carolyn Bullock, Judy Murphy, and Joy Graham.
