Advantages Welcomes Denice Harper to Board

Denice is an employee of Union Bank, here in Monticello. She joined Union Bank in January, 2014, returning to her hometown after thirty years. She began her banking career with Union Bank in 1976, working in several areas of the bank until 1984, when she and her family relocated to Longview, Texas. Denice continued her banking career in trust and investment services at Texas Bank and Trust Company in Longview, where she was promoted to Assistant Vice President and Trust Officer in 1988, Vice President in 1994, and Senior Vice President in 2006. As a senior officer, she was assistant manager of the trust and investment division, and manager of personal trust and estate administration services for the division. Her areas of expertise include trust and estate administration, agency and investment account services, corporate trust administration, and cash management services. With thirty-eight years of trust and banking experience, Denice is uniquely qualified to meet the various needs of her clients.
Denice is a graduate of Drew Central High School and has attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello and Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas. She is a graduate of the Texas School of Trust Banking and she has completed the American Bankers Association’s National and Graduate Trust Banking Schools at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Denice earned and maintains her credentials as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA).
Denice and her husband, Mark, have two sons, Matthew and Adam, and seven grandchildren.
While living in Longview, Denice worked with local volunteer organizations, such as the East Texas Literacy Council and Ambucs II, and she served on several boards, including the W.B. and Martha Johnson Foundation and the Gregg County Historical Museum Board.
