Abuse of Corpse Charge Dismissed on Technicality – Concealing Birth Charge still in Court
March 4th, 2016 by iPhoneCharges against Anne Bynum were dropped on the charge of abuse of a corpse, after Judge Sam Pope agreed with a motion by defense counsel attorney Chuck Gibson.
During his motion to the court, Gibson emphasized that the statute on “abuse of a corpse”generally deals with the permanent disposition, or burying, of the remains.
It also doesn’t specifically describe how long the death must be reported in.
Although it was several hours later, she did take the remains to the hospital, after being advised to, by an attorney.
