Four Arrests Made after String of Vehicle Break-ins
September 23rd, 2011 by Joe BurgessA call of “shots fired” came through the Monticello Police Department’s dispatch at approximately 1:00am on Monday.
MPD responded to the Pine Street area and discovered two bicycles and a gun on the ground. Seven hours later, as the residents of Mason Hill neighborhood began their days, it was found that the weapon and bicycles were just three of several items that had been stolen from them as they slept.
There were six vehicles reportedly broken into Monday morning and since then MPD and Arkansas State Police have arrested four suspects. If you have any tips or information on this crime, please contact the Monticello Police Department at 367-3411 or visit their website.

Good! I’m glad to see this as I was one that had her purse stolen out of her car a couple of weeks ago.
Maybe they caught the people who broke into my car a while back.

A little over one month ago we experienced an incident in this same area. It’s scary to think how brave these thugs are making their way onto our property! Thank God our motion light scared them off of our carport.
