Former Postal Carrier Gets 20 Years in ADC for Stealing 180+ Checks, worth $58,000+
October 3rd, 2023 by Joe BurgessAt least a total of 157 mail articles, which she felt had checks inside of them, were stolen, when she was employed as a mail carrier for the United States, Postal Service. No one really knows how many pieces of mail were actually stolen.
Deshazer could have received a maximum of over 1000 years, if all charges were to run consecutively. Her plea bargain will have her served 20 years in prison, followed by 10 years suspended imposition of sentence. Where she must continue making $200 per month restitution payments.
Deshazer paid $5000 restitution, on the day of court.
