2022 Monticello Marlins Summer Swim Team Registration Information

The Monticello Marlins Swim Team is open for girls and boys ages 5 to 18. The Monticello Marlins are a summer only competitive swim team. Swimmers will work on perfecting the basic strokes of freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly stroke and backstroke.
Registration will be Thursday, April 21, and Tuesday April 26th from 4:30pm -6:30pm each afternoon at the city pool. Deadline to join is April 30th.
Cost for registration is $150.00 per swimmer. Registration includes: Team Shirt, AAU Registration Fees, AAU Insurance, Practices, SASA Meet Fees and SASA Champs fees. Some meets will have additional fees (AAU Qualifier meets and Junior Olympics ).
Requirement:
New swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards across the pool any way you can. THAT’S ALL! New swimmer tryouts will be during the first day of practice. Please come to registration so that we may get your contact information to inform you of this date.
Swimmers who have previously been on the team do not need to tryout again.
Practices:
Practice times will be announced as soon as the pool is available.
Competitions:
Competitions will be held on Saturdays. South Arkansas Swim Association (SASA ) is sanctioned under the AAU. SASA meets are held throughout South Arkansas. To compete in the SASA Champs meet, you must swim in 2 SASA meets prior to the SASA Champs meet.

July 8,9,10 – Texarkana (Last Chance Qualifier All Star Meet)
July 9 – Monticello
July 16 – SASA Championships in Eldorado
July 28-July 31 – JO @ Greensboro, N.C.
