Soccer Board Member In Court for Domestic Battery for 2nd Time

Armando Romero, the last remaining active board member of the Monticello Youth Soccer Association, was in Judge Gibson’s recent circuit court hearing day, charged with domestic battery, 2nd degree with physical injury, for an incident that took place on September 25 at his residence.
Monticello police were called to the hospital to take a report from the victim. She described the alleged physical confrontation and showed them the marks, bruises and other evidence that were left afterwards.
Romero had been previously arrested at that residence by the MPD on March 4, 2016 fo domestic battery 3rd degree, and other related charges including resisting arrest.
Documents indicate that he choked the female and knocked her to the ground, before kicking her in the stomach and back, repeatedly.The court gave him one year probation and a fine.
40 hours of community service was approved by MYSA, for work relating to the soccer league.
Later that year, on December 18, 2016 he was taken into custody by Arkansas State Police for DWI, and other driving charges, on Bolling St.
Last Friday, the other board member, Stephanie Hill Rogers was charged with solicitation for murder about prosecuting attorney Thomas Deen.
