Crossett Storm Damage Update – 2,272 Without Power

Around 515, Monday evening, 60 MPH straight-line winds wrapped inside of thunderstorms caused severe damage to Crossett and the surrounding area.
According to the Crossett Police Department, off-duty officers were called in to assist residents with the many issues that take place when devastating storms strike an area.
As shown in the map, almost all of the business area of Crossett is still without power. Trees damaged multiple houses, and took down many powerlines, citywide.
No one was injured, during the storms.
Entergy is on the scene with extra personnel, and is expecting much of the affected area to be restored to service, later today.

Straight line winds or tornado? I have a tree down in my driveway and a tree on my roof. Some trees at the park were twisted off in the middle so that tells me it was a tornado with 80 mile hour winds or more. Who took picture of tornado?
