2 Truck Crash Sends Driver To UAMS
June 14th, 2018 by iPhoneJune 6, around 3:15 PM, the driver of this westbound Mazda pick-up was stopped, waiting on an oncoming car to pass, before attempting to turn off of Highway 278, 3 miles east of Monticello, when it was rear-ended by a Chevrolet work truck.
According to a witness’ report, the Chevy crashed into the back of the Mazda, then drove over the top of it, before coming to a stop in the ditch.
The driver of the Mazda was transported to UAMS for medical treatment. The driver of the Chevy was cited for reckless driving and declined medical attention.
Rangel Wrecker removed the Mazda. The Chevy was still drivable.

The Mazda was East bound. I was the vehicle the Mazda was waiting on to turn off 278. I hope the driver is okay.
