Residents Rescue Elderly Stranded Driver
December 29th, 2015 by iPhoneDuring the weekend of flooding, MonticelloLive posted this photo from the Selma-Collins Road. Here is the rest of the story.
Sunday morning, around 10:30 AM, John and Austin Beatty were on their way to church.
Being from the Selma-Collins area, they knew how to navigate the sometimes-flooded road they would encounter.
However the 81-year-old Lincoln County lady that they met along the way, did not, as she was going to check on a friend.
After getting the stranded lady into their vehicle, they then contacted another neighbor, Carl Guess, who used his tractorused his tractor, to pull out her stranded SUV.
The Beatys may have missed church, Sunday morning, but their “good deed” set an example for all of us.
