City Flag at Half-Staff in Memory of City Employee Melisa Barnett City Hall Closing Today, 12:30-2 pm

Mayor Zack Tucker signed a proclamation ordering the Flag of the City of Monticello to be placed at half-staff in memory of Melisa Barnett who passed away Sunday.
“Melisa was a special person,” said Tucker. “She brought the water office a calm & positive approach that handled customers with care. Melisa will be missed at City Hall.”
Ms.Barnett served her community as a clerk in the city water office for over a year.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery.
City Hall will e closed from 12:30-2pm, today, to allow fellow employees to attend her funeral.
