Big-Rig Driver “Lucky to be Alive” after Tuesday Morning Crash
November 12th, 2015 by iPhoneIn an update to a story MLive covered, Tuesday morning, posted here are photos of the clean-up of the wreckage of a loaded Riceland tank truck, 2 miles south of Winchester on HWY 65.
The driver sustained ultiple injuries, and was transported to JRMC, but was described as “Lucky to be alive” by members of the responding workers, based on the condition of his tractor cab.
The accident, which occurred around 3 am, was cleaned up, with only limitd road closings, by around 3 pm.
An 18 wheeled Riceland tank truck left Highway 65, 2 miles south of Winchester, between 3–4 a.m., Tuesday morning.
The trailer overturned in the ditch/field, causing a very minor leak of the cooking oil which was being transported south.
Drew County Sheriffs Deputies & OEM, along with Arkansas State Troopers and Arkansas Highway Police, are on the scene.
Although the roadway is not closed, please use caution when traveling through the area, due to cleanup crews, working the site.
