Fathers Day for City Workers
June 22nd, 2015 by iPhoneIf spending Father’s Day without water was an inconvenience for your family, it could have been worse.
Charlie, Danny, Tony, and Steven are city water employees that spent the day away from their families
From 1-6 pm, they were working to repair a blown water main, in the 1400 block area of E. Jackson St., which should shut down water service to many local families, celebrating Father’s Day.
We had trouble on a Friday night at 10 pm and Charlie didn’t hesitate to show up and help us out!! We got some good guys working for the city! Thanks guys!!
its nice to see the kind article and the nice comment. Charlie is on call everyday all the time he seldom gets a solid night of sleep.
he works most major holidays but that’s ok we have no young kids or grandkids so it allows little ones to make lasting memories with everyone home. But no matter what the weather, how long the day has been or what he is doing when the phone rings he never complains, he just goes to the call and does what needs to be done. Some days he gets called out to so many different things that I forget where he originally went…. but that’s ok too when he’s gone all he is doing is helping others in some way and I’m kinda proud of that and I thank the crew that came when he called them on Fathers Day it shows how much they care about their community
