Freezing Rain, Trees, & Power Lines Continue to Fall
February 16th, 2015 by iPhoneAt 11 AM, freezing rain continues to fall across Drew County.
Many tree limbs, as well as a few small trees, are beginning to fall, due to the weight of the ice.
A few roadways have been blocked (HWY 83 South is shown here) and have been reopened.
Convoys of Entergy subcontractor utility trucks have passed through Monticello this morning, in preparation for this winter event. Also, AHTD crews have pre-coated area bridges to reduce the icing effect for travelers.
