Deer Camp Fire Results in Arson Arrest

During the early morning hours, Saturday, a fire was called in at a local deer camp by camp members.
The Lacey-Ladelle Fire Department responded to the fire along with a Drew County Deputy. The fire was believed to be arson at the time because there was no electricity to the building due to it being turned off until hunting season.
Later in the day the Sheriff’s Office received information on the fire and conducted an interview with a witness. The witness advised authorities that he and some more friends were out riding back roads when one friend needed to use the restroom they stopped the truck. Several minutes had passed by and the witness got out of the truck and hollered for his friend. He heard him yell back and that is when the witness went through the woods and located his friend.
His friend who was identified as Michael Knight was located in the camp house and had lit a bed on fire in the house. The witness tried to put the fire out and said that Knight had then started pouring bleach on the fire and him. The witness advised that he then ran back to his truck and Knight was with him.
They later got into a fight down the road due to the fire and the bleach.
A warrant was issued for Michael Knight for Arson and Breaking or Entering on Monday. Knight was arrested by authorities and was taken to the Drew County Sheriff’s Office for interviewing.
Knight admitted to setting the fire by igniting it with a match. He also admitted that he put bleach on the fire to try to put it out. When asked if his friends were involved with the setting of the fire he said they were not involved.
Knight has since bonded out and has been placed on a GPS Ankle Monitor. The case will be submitted to the Prosecutors Office for official filing.

Why did they even let him bond out? This was done on purpose and should be punished. He has already admitted to doing this. Now why? :(

There were four boys involved. I guess people forget that Jesus loves all and you only have to ask for his forgiveness. Not people on this earth that judge so hard with their own demons and lairs that they hide
if the people in this town new what others are doing and getting away with, this town would be in shock, certain people who are kids of certain people are allowed to do far worse than this. no charges are ever filed and no one except a few. this is very dirty political town. further more, in this case, there is more to the story than what is told, again, dirty politics. wake up Monticello. all the comments does is hurt the family even more and the truth is out there but hidden.
People don’t know the truth as to what happen that night. Knight was not driving but the witness was drunk and driving. Others went into the camp and the fight occurred then When the boys. Not men left the camp was fine but the driver went back to steal a tree climbing stand and set the fire again!! Because he was mad over his shirt !!! Really???
