Manslaughter Prosecution Rests Its Case – 10 am Update
November 14th, 2013 by iPhoneScott McCloskey of the Arkansas State Police interviewed Childs the day after the crash at JRMC.
“I came around the curve, and the train was across the road. I didn’t want to hit that train. I was going about 50 (mph). The truck wasn’t going to stop.”
He hauled 3 loads of asphalt the day of the wreck. He told the investigator that he thought the truck was leaking air, and that he’d been slowing down for cars and intersections.
The prosecution rested their case at 9:50.
