Rain Related Wrecks Keep Cops (and Wreckers) Busy, Last Week
October 21st, 2013 by Joe BurgessWednesday was a good example of how rain can wreak havoc on Drew County drivers.
Just before 11 am, a work truck on Midway Rt., near State School Road, hit a power pole, dismantling an AT&T roadside phone module.
As Drew County Deputies were almost finished with that call, a ditched Ford Focus at Dead Man’s Curve on HWY 278 was reported.
After filling out the accident report and making sure a wrecker was on the way to the Ford, the deputy was calling in”back in service,” as a Chevy Tahoe completed 3 unexpected, counter-clockwise donuts in the high-risk curve, behind the Focus.
No one was injured in any of these accidents.
