Tommy Maxwell Appointed to National Hardwood Federation Board of Directors

Tommy Maxwell, of Maxwell Hardwood Flooring, has been appointed to the Hardwood Federation Board of Directors representing the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA).
The Hardwood Federation is the largest DC –based hardwood industry trade association in the United States. The US hardwood industry employs millions of families throughout the country, representing thousands of jobs in nearly every state and hundreds of Congressional districts. One of its main missions is to promote and represent the common business interests of and improve business conditions among members of the hardwood industry.

Maxwell has been in the flooring business for over 35 years and is the current President and CEO of Maxwell Hardwood Flooring, Inc. which just celebrated 20 years in business this past year. He is also co-owner of Townsend, Inc. in Warren, AR. He serves on the boards of the Arkansas Forestry Association, Union Bank and Trust Company in Monticello, the National Hardwood Flooring Association (NWFA), and is Chairman of the Board of Visitors at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He also serves on the board for The Oak Flooring Manufactures Association (NOFMA) and was a former NOFMA President. Maxwell is the current Secretary for the West Side Hardwood Club.
Maxwell is a graduate of Warren High School and the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He is married to Beth Burchfield Maxwell of Crossett, AR and the couple has two children, Wil Maxwell and Kristi Maxwell-Prince, both of Monticello and four grandchildren.
