“Mulligan on the 9th Hole”

In the game of golf, a “do over” on the tee shot is often called a “mulligan”.
Around 8 am, Tuesday morning, the driver of this Volkswagen certainly needed a “do over” as the vehicle lost control as it topped Country Club Hill, crashed through a fence, narrowly missing a power pole, before flipping, and finally coming to rest between a group of trees (on the sidewalk near the 9th hole of the golf course).
According to reports, the driver was not injured.
A neighbor told MLive, in 17 years living nearby, she has seen 8 major wrecks near that hill and intersectin.
MPD and DCSO worked the accident, C&L Wrecker towed the VW.

did they have to pay the green fees .
I am happy to see that my daughters accident has made some people smile and laugh because of the location of her wreck. We were blessed yesterday that she was not injured due to God watching over her and I’m sure her fastened seatbelt was a major part of her survival. This is a nineteen yr old Girl who was very shaken, scared for her life, and now very sad that her dream car is totaled, and she is without transportation and will be for awhile or at least until we get these medical bills paid. So today she’s more saddened by seeing the amusement in this. As for paying the green fees…maybe the liability insurance will cover that. Thank you for your concerns.
I am glad the driver was “shaken” and “scared”. It beats being hurt, or worse, hurting somebody else. Maybe she will be a little more careful on the road. Seems from the description her guardian angel was working overtime. A person can get over being scared, shaken and embarrassed.
An accident is just that, an accident. I am very glad to see that this young lady will be ok. It makes me very sad to see that somebody would be more worried about the golf course than the health and well being of this young lady. I agree with Toni, the Country Club’s insurance should take care of this.
Toni, I empathize with you. Hopefully you can shield your daughter from petty comments made by others. The accident is bad enough…Those who lay blame upon her are abhorrent.
Thank you for the nice comments. As for Hobbitt I understand that “worse hurting someone else” is a big thing but I was the only person in the wreck therefore that comment was not nessasery. I do drive carefully and ANYONE can wreck no matter how careful you are…things happen. As for my car I am still upset about it..it may be “just a car” to some people but it was more then that to me.

I have never met you, but I just felt the need to tell you that I am very happy to hear that you were not hurt during your accident. I am so sorry you have to hear reamarks like those from “Hobbitt”. I’m sure he has had at least one accident of some kind in his time. I believe that I am a safe and good driver, but I have also had an accident in the past, it just happens. I can’t stand for someone to try to make something like this worse than it is already. I’m sorry about your car, I can remember when I was young, my car felt more like freedom or a friend than a car. I hope you can get another one that you will love. Just remember – accidents happen everyday – and people who are hateful are hateful everyday. Your a great person and god bless.
