November 21st, 2011 by

Buddy James, age 29, and Arthur Piper, age 23, both of Monticello were recently arrested following a long list of automobile and home burglaries, and are being held in the Drew County Detention Facility on $75,000 each.

The pair allegedly is responsible for over a dozen different criminal acts where a wide range of articles had been stolen.

Their charges include over a dozen theft of property charges, 2 residential burglary charges, and 9 breaking and entering charges, most having been reported in the Old HWY 13 area.

The Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. is working the cases.

The pair reportedly ran out of gas on Midway Rt., while many of the stolen items were still in the back of their vehicle. when officers arrived to check out a suspicious vehicle complaint.

Many of the stolen items have been recovered, but the process is still ongoing.

  1. Concerned Citizen says:

These low lifes need to get a 9 to 5 job just like the next fellow! Then you won’t have to steal and rob!

  2. COOL_DUDE says:

These thugs just need to be locked up. Once a thief, always a thief.

  3. Sad Lady says:

Its a shame that instead of looking for a job, these two decided to take what they wanted. Some jail time in prison will make them think about what they are doing to their lives and the lives of the people they stole from.

  4. Caring mom says:

Thanks for putting these “2 LOCAL MEN” behind bars, now go after the drug dealers and others in organized crime…

  5. Jody says:

hahahaha….so stupid they forgot to get gas. Somebody please put them out of their own misery. I hate ignorance and glad they got caught. I knew some of the people with stolen items and these guys are lucky they didnt catch them. wouldve been some bones found around 7 devils. lol. I hope everyone with things that were stolen gets their stuff back.
