UPDATE – Severe Burns to Resident in Home Fire

The Collins – Cominto and Dermott fire departments responded to a home fire on W. 3rd St. in Collins, shortly after 5 AM Thursday morning.
Drew County Sheriff’s deputies and Entergy also responded.
A female resident of the home (believed to be in her mid 60’s) suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns during the fire.
She was transported to Chicot Memorial Hospital, before being airlifted to a burn center in Jackson, Mississippi.
No other details are available at this time.
