5 Car Accident at 425 / 278 Leads to DWI Drugs Arrest
April 4th, 2013 by Joe BurgessAround 1:45 Wednesday afternoon, the drivers of a Toyota Camry turned Monticello’s busiest intersection into a demolition derby, as he allegedly “ping ponged” into 4 other vehicles.
The driver of the Toyota was traveling south on HWY 425 in the inside lane. His vehicle didn’t stop at the traffice signal, but instead struck a car in the southbound turning lane: then the pick-up truck that had stopped in front of him; then another car (in front of the car in the southbound lane); then drove across the intersection, coming to a stop after a head-on collision with a GMC mini-van, in the northbound turning lane.
Monticello Police worked the five car crash, and arrested Zackary Wilson, age 22 of Star City, for DWI Drugs. Wilson reportedly did not know how the accident occurred.
No one was transported to the hospital, Rods’ Wrecker and C&L Towing removed the Toyota and the GMC.
