4–6 Injured in School Bus Wreck Near 277/278
April 10th, 2015 by iPhoneAround 7:15 AM, Friday morning, reports indicate 4–6 passengers/driver were injured in a single vehicle accident on Highway 277, in Drew County.
The McGehee school bus was traveling west. The driver reportedly told someone at the scene that and an coming eastbound 18-wheeler was “crowning” the center line, causing the accident. The big-rig driver, who stopped between the wrecked bus and the curve where the accident began, disagreed with that description of the accident.
The McGehee school superintendent and transportation director were the scene, which was being investigated by Arkansas State police, assisted by Drew County Sheriff’s Deputies.
It was reported that all injuries appear to be minor.
