3 Injured in Car Crash, 1 Air-lifted

Around 7 PM Monday night, 3 people were injured in a 2 vehicle head-on accident, on Highway 35 East.
The accident occurred between Collins and the Baxter Bridge, involving Chevy and Ford pick ups.
An AG&F game warden, patrolling near Collins, was the first officer to arrive, followed by Drew County OEM and Sheriffs Deputies. Dermott rescue was also paged. MASI and Dermott ambulance transported a patient, locally, and Air-Evac’s rescue helicopter transported one crash victim to Pine Bluff.
Drs. Tim and Sylvia Simon were traveling in the area, and also provided medical care at the crash site. Dr. Tim then rode on and ambulance with one crash victim to DMH.
