Drugs & Guns Lead to Local Arrest
July 23rd, 2020 by Joe BurgessAn investigation stemming from recent violence resulted in the arrest of a Monticello woman for drugs and firearm charges.
Kareena Gold, age 40, of Monticello was arrested after Monticello Police and Drug Task Force Agents executed a search warrant at Gold’s Monticello residence. The search warrant was partly in connection with incidents where victims reported Gold brandished and fired a weapon at them.
Law Enforcement officers located an AR15 rifle, a handgun Agents believe were used in the weekend incidents, methamphetamine, Ecstasy (MDMA) Tablets and Marijuana as well as relates drug paraphernalia.
Gold was charged with Possession of a firearm by certain persons and 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance, Schedule 1,2 and 6; as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug premises. Additional charges unrelated to the search warrant may be pending.
Gold will receive a first appearance within 48 hours and bond will be set at that time.
