Marquis Martin Case Update
July 14th, 2020 by Joe Burgess
The 7 page Arkansas crime Lab autopsy report for Marquis Martin has been released to the media, by prosecuting attorney Thomas Deen, last week
The report refers to a single medium caliber gun shot wound to the back of the head as the only traumatic injury to the body.
It describes several naturally occurring effects of decomposition, but no other physical injuries, anywhere on his body, were listed in the document.

Also, we spoke with Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober, about the case.
Gober told MLive that something is being done on the case, daily. Whether it’s re-tracing a phone call, re-evaluating something in the case file, or an interview, something is done everyday.
When rumors of the case involving Gober and his sons were mentioned, Sheriff Gober commented that those rumors started after a former employee, and sheriffs candidate, made comments on Facebook insinuating involvement by Gober sons. He continued by saying political actions have no place during the middle of a murder investigation, and should be limited to the political arena.
In closing, Gober described the case as being different from most murder cases, because there was no crime scene, there were no witnesses, and evidence is so hard to confirm, because of social media.
