25-30 Gram Meth Bust Set for Jury Trial
June 29th, 2022 by Joe BurgessThis week’s Drew County Circuit Court docket includes a state police traffic stop arrest of a Star City motorcycle rider, who admitted to having drugs in his possession, which are estimated to be between 25-30 grams by court officials.
On October 5 of last year, at approximately 6:15 PM an ASP trooper at the intersection of Highway 35 and 425 N., observed a black and green motorcycle, northbound, with a traffic violation.
The traffic stop occurred at Cablevision, where Colton Fromal advised the trooper that he did not have a drivers license or any form of ID.
A second trooper arrived and removed the subject from the motorcycle for a patdown for weapons and ask Fromal if he had any illegal items. Fromal admitted to having drugs in his possession.
After a probable cause search, a clear bag of a white crystal substance was field tested and showed positive for methamphetamine from Fromal‘s front pocket. A glass smoking pipe and a small digital scale were also found in other pockets.
The trooper was advised of a felony arrest warrant for Fromal, out of Lincoln County. The suspect was transported to the county line, where a Lincoln County deputy took him into custody.
Fromal is charged with possession of control substance, methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to ingest inhale methamphetamine or other drugs.
Sources report that Fromal has to fell any convictions out of Lincoln County.
