2:30pm Update / Capital Murder Trial, 911 Calls Played For Jury
January 26th, 2016 by Joe BurgessAround 1:20pm, Jonathan Woods’ attorney told the jurors that Woods knows that he shot his girlfriend; not by recollection, but because no one else could have done it. Mr Depper continued, explaining that the couple was close enough that they had been doing drugs together for several days.
At 1:30pm the store owner took the stand to describe the photos and videos taken from inside the store showing him attacking Ms. Poole.
At 1:45pm the police dispatcher took the stand. She verified the transcripts of the three 911 calls (as they were played for the jury). She reported the events that night, including screams, the callers description as he forced her into the car and pulled out the gun, and another callers report of hearing a gunshot over the phone to the dispatcher.
