Saturday Update – Police Suspect Search on 425 North

After speaking with officials, Saturday, the search for the suspects from last night’s
stolen car report from Little Rock, we learned a few more details of the events that took place.
In many instances, search dogs from ADC are brought in. However, due to the weather, the dogs are not as useful as they are in many instances, so that source was not used.
The search came to an end shortly before midnight, after it became apparent that the suspects were most likely already out of the area.
Officer search the area, outside buildings and sheds, and checked multiple homes, during their search.
The investigation is still in progress.

As 10 o’clock approaches, there have been no substantial changes in the ongoing manhunt in the North Monticello area.
Officers are in the same general area, so please use caution, if you must be traveling through that part of Monticello.
All residents are asked to make sure your doors are safely locked, and report any suspicious activities by calling 911, due to the ongoing AT&T phone outages.

Monticello Police and Drew County Sheriff Deputies are currently searching for two black males in the area from the post office, to Circle Acres, to Cablevision.
If you are traveling through this area, please use caution when driving through traffic.
Lorenzo Weston, shown here, is from Little Rock. He was last seen wearing green Adidas and a sweatshirt.
One other black male has not been identified yet. One suspect had a black backpack, the other had a white backpack.
The suspects fled from highway patrol near Dermott. A tire blew out, in Monticello, after short pursuit. MPD has another suspect in custody.
The two suspects in Monticello reportedly ran into the wooded area behind Cablevision.
The car is stolen from little rock.
If you live in this area, please lock your doors and be aware of any suspicious activity. Notify police of anything suspicious by calling 911, since AT&T phone lines are out of service, again.
