Students from Monticello Dance Academy’s competition team competed at Dance Showcase USA Regionals in Maumelle April 7th and 8th. MDA took a total of 36 routines to the event. Routines are scored on an adjudicated system of points with Elite Platinum being the highest, then Platinum, Elite Gold, and Gold. They receive a first, second, or third within their category, and then placed in the overall for their respective age and level of competition! (more…)

Spurred by Abby Searcy’s victory in the barrel racing competition, the University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s rodeo team finished second in a seven-team field at the annual Boll Weevil Stampede Rodeo held last weekend at the Drew County Fairgrounds. (more…)
