2018 Shooting Incident Leads to Arrest
April 1st, 2019 by iPhoneRecently, Monticello Police arrested a local man on multiple charges, including aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and false imprisonment.
The suspect, Kevious Santreez Jawon Simpson, age 19, of Monticello, was arrested on a warrant from the DC Sheriff’s Dept., alleging that on Saturday, December 8, he had pointed a gun at a juvenile, on Collins Line Road, demanded his wallet, then dragged him down the road on Collins in a Nissan sedan, before firing a weapon, similar to a Glock pistol, at the victim.
The suspect was identified from a football picture in a recent high school yearbook.
He was being held in the Drew County detention facility on a $75,000 bond.
