$20,000+ Cash, Drugs & Guns Recovered from SEARK Hotel

Wednesday, around 11 AM, Ashley County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a welfare concern from a relative, about an occupant in North Crossett’s Hollywood Hotel.
As officers knocked on the door of the room, some heard the back glass of the room break.
After a brief moment of figuring out what was going on, 2 Crossett men were taken into custody and the items that were thrown out the back window of the motel room where we covered.
The recovered items included $20,440 in cash, 4.9 ounces of marijuana and a Beretta 22 pistol.
The 2 arrested men were Brandon Courson and Brandan Fields.
Involved in this drug arrest were Josh Pollock, Tad Huntsman, Mark Griever, Micheal Vorhease and Hunter Smith.
Deputy Pollock said, “We will continue to crack down on drugs in Ashley county. Sheriff Tommy Sturgeon and all his deputies are committed to the community and well being of our children’s future.
At the time of this report, both men were being handled in the Ashley County Jail, awaiting bond hearing.
