Minutes after 3 PM, Saturday afternoon, the driver of this eastbound blue Ford Focus reportedly lost control of the vehicle, crossing into the path of this westbound GMC Sierra, striking it head on.

The crash occurred on Highway 278 E., near the Selma store and the Highway 293 intersection.

Both vehicles spun arpuyin the highway, causing the GMC, along with its 5 passengers, to roll into the ditch and treeline.

Monticello fire and rescue, Drew County sheriff’s deputies and OEM responded.

SEEMS transported the six injured to Drew Memorial Hospital.
Reggie’s wrecker and JNA towing removed the vehicles.
