2 pm Fire Destroys Local Home

Around 2 PM, Saturday, the Monticello Fire Department was dispatched to Wheeler Ln., near the Highway 425/172 intersection, for a house fire. The home was reportedly fully engulfed, when the call was made.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The home was a total loss. We were told no one was home at the time of the fire.

we think it was cause by power surg.. lights had been off for some time and had just came back on said a neighbor. Now the family don’t even have tooth brushes, VERY SAD
