2 Monticello Youth in Dumas Jail on $100,000 Bond, after Armed Robbery & Shots Fired at Police
August 26th, 2015 by iPhone2 Monticello teenagers are currently in the Dumas jail, following an armed robbery attempt of the Dumas Sonic, Friday night.
Zain Jones, of Monticello, was taken into custody by police, as he waited in the vehicle (registered to Monticello) for his 17 year-old accomplice, who fired a shot at officers, as he fled on foot.
Officers on the scene also recovered the money stolen during the robbery attempt.
Monticello Police arrested 17-year-old Cameron Anderson, Sunday morning around 2 AM, in a Monticello residence, in connection with the same robbery.
Although Anderson is 17 years old, he has been certified as an adult, and will be charged as an adult.
Jones and Anderson are facing charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, theft of property, and use of another’s property to commit a crime.
Judge Don Glover Judge set bond on the pair at $100,000, each, Monday afternoon.
