2 Arrests Solve 3 Commercial Burglaries
January 27th, 2017 by iPhoneOn January 23, at approximately 3:00 a.m. members of the Drew County Sheriff’s Department responded to a break in alarm call at the Winchester Store located on the corner of Highway 138 and Highway 65 in Winchester.
Once on scene officers met the owner of the store and observed that the front glass door had been shattered and that the two cash registers had been taken from the store.
With security camera surveillance footage and evidence collected at the scene; the Drew County Sheriff’s Department with the assistance of Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and Gould Police Department arrested Dante Knight, 24, of Gould and Deundrea Craig, 23, of Pine Bluff at the residence of Dante Knight in Gould.
Knight admitted to authorities that he and Deundrea Craig were the persons responsible for the commercial burglary of the Winchester Store and also of the commercial burglary of Subway in McGehee.
Both of these burglaries took place the same night. Knight has also confessed to being responsible for the burglary of Subway in Star City, Arkansas earlier in the month.
Dante Knight’s bond was set at $20,000 and Deundrea Craig has a bond set at $35,000; both remain in the Drew County Detention Facility at this time.
