2 AM Chicken House Fire Responded to by MFD

At 2 AM Wednesday morning, Drew County Deputies and the Monticello Fire Department responded to the report of 2 chicken houses on fire, in the 3500 area of Highway 35 West.
The houses were in use, at the time of the blaze.
One structure was totally destroyed, and the other sustained major damage. Approximately 7,000 chickens died in the fire.
