1st Degree Murder Charge Filed Against local Woman – $250,000 Bond – From Friday Afternoon
August 10th, 2015 by iPhoneA 29 year old Monticello woman received a $250,000 bond for the charges of first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse, in the death of a Hamburg man, reported missing last week.
Heather Hackett, Of Drew County, was arrested August 6 for the murder of Sam Arnold, Jr., of Hamburg.
Circuit Judge Sam Pope conducted her first judicial appearance August 7 at the Drew County Courthouse, and found probable cause for the offenses of first degree murder and abuse of a corpse. Bond was set at $250,000.
The case is being investigated by the Drew County Sheriff’s office with the assistance of the Ashley County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police.
