4 Die in Train-Car Collision near Dermott
July 18th, 2016 by iPhoneAt 6:01, Friday morning, tragedy struck the Dermott area, as a Ford van collided with a train, killing a mother, her son, and 2 young friends.
According to the Arkansas State Police preliminary report, a Ford Econoline van failed to yeild to the train on Old Masonville Road, north of Dermott, in Chicot County.
Beverly Cater, age 39 of Dermott, was killed in the crash, along with her 15 year old son, and 2 close friends, ages 13 & 11, according to family friends.
