Drug Bust Finds Crack, Weed, Gun, Ammo, & Suspect Wanted in 3 Counties
September 11th, 2015 by Joe BurgessAccording to Sheriff Mark Gober, on August 25, 2015, Deputy Bo Sanderlin, while on duty near Wilmar observed a vehicle eastbound on Hwy 278, with a broken tail light.
The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the occupant, Jeremy R. Webb, 21 of Monticello. Deputy Sanderlin would’ve released Webb on a defective equipment warning however, since he detected the odor of alcohol from Webb. Sanderlin returned to his vehicle and communicated Webb’s information with dispatch and learned that Webb had a suspended driver’s license and warrants out of Warren, Monticello and Jefferson Co.
Webb then was instructed out of the vehicle and searched. Deputy Sanderlin did locate small bags of what is believed to be marijuana in the pockets of Webb’s clothing along with a small bag of .22 caliber ammunition. A search of the vehicle produced a fully loaded .22 pistol located under the seat. Sanderlin, with the assistance of Deputy Brandon Wright and officer Chris Owen of the Monticello Police Department, further searched the vehicle, finding approximately 47 grams of marijuana in 15 individual bags, approximately 2.2 grams of crack cocaine in eight individual bags and a set of digital scales.
Jeremy Webb was placed in the Drew County Detention Facility and charged with possession with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, no brake light & driving with license suspended Webb was released on August 26, 2015 on a $3,500 bond.
