Wreck Leaves Car “Lost” in the Woods
May 14th, 2015 by iPhoneEarly Saturday morning, Drew County Sheriffs deputies were called to the scene of a car crash at the intersection of Highway 278 and the Wilmar train tracks.
The westbound Pontiac Grand Prix, shown here, left the roadway as it crossed the tracks, becoming airborne, and entering the woods.
Unusual, in this case, there was no “entry path” of the vehicle. This combined with the rain, darkness, and abundance of bushes/trees complicated locating the vehicle.
No one was injured in the crash. MFD also responded. Rods Wrecker removed the Pontiac.
