Country Superstar Rodney Atkins to headline April Festival
March 6th, 2015 by Joe BurgessThe Monticello Festival & Events Association is excited to announce award winning country music star Rodney Atkins will headline its Saturday, April 4th Forest Festival in Monticello, Arkansas. Atkins, who is best known for six No. 1 hits included is 2006’s Most Played Song of the Year, “If You’re Going Through Hell,” “Watching You,” and “Take a Back Road,” will take the stage at 9 p.m. in Monticello’s McCloy Park. Local band Cashbox will take the stage at 7 p.m. as the opening act. The Forest Festival will be held April 3-4, 2015 in McCloy Park in Monticello. The weekend of events is scheduled to kick-off fundraising efforts for the planned state-wide forestry festival, 2016 Arkansas Forest Fest.
