Big-Rigs & Big Troubles
March 5th, 2015 by Joe Burgess
Around 10:30, Thursday morning, the driver of the top 18-wheeler didn’t see the “no trucks” signs, next to the police department. After getting stuck in the ice and sharp curve, he probably noticed them.
The driver of the center cross-country tractor-trailer wished there had been a “no trucks” sign on Jackson Street, near where the bridge is being replaced. The driver, being from Canada, had no trouble backing up 2 blocks to gain access to Shelton Street (and his destination.)
A sign wouldn’t have helped the driver of the bottom big-rig, when his tractor-trailer left the roadway, near Skipper Bridge Road on Highway 35 E., near Dermott.
