16 Year Old’s Mother Testifies
October 24th, 2014 by iPhoneNext, the 16 year olds boyfriend testified the the eventual victim had been harassing him.
He also testified the he and the 16 year old had gone to get Gibson, since the 3 were “coming to her house ‘strapped'”. He also told that Gibson had a gun when he got in their vehicle.
He also told that after she screamed, the Ford started to drive off, but hit the brakes: That is when Gibson fired the shotgun.
The other passenger in the Ford was next to take the stand. One statement of interest he made was that his friend may have brought the rifle, considering “it may be a set-up.”
At 2:40, Lt. Nichols was recalled to the stand, and asked about the lack of consistency in the 16 year old statements. Before he could answer, the defense objected, which led to the girl being recalled.
The defense the attempted to get Judge Gibson to re-consider his ruling on allowing her to be re-called (multiple times), since she had been seated in the audience. She then testified, clarifying her statements to the investigator.
At 2:50, the state rested their case.
At 3 pm, the 16 year olds mother was called to the stand. She testified how she had told the 27 year old to stay away from her daughter, to no avail.
