MYSB Announces Fall Ball

Monticello Youth Sports Baseball will be holding Fall Baseball Registrations, now through August 1.
A 6-8 game schedule will be played at the Monticello Sports Complex on Highway 278 West from Mid August – Mid September.
Registration cost will be $50 per child and will cover a hat, jersey, and insurance. Players can register at www.monticelloyouthsports.com. If you are interested in coaching a team, please call 723-3277.
The league will be instrumental in helping those players transfer from one age group to another. Please keep in mind that the player age for fall will be the child’s age as of April 30, 2015. For example, if your child played TBall as a 6 year old this past spring, he will play as a 7 year old in the fall. Age groups for fall baseball will be:
– 8U coach pitch (for 7 and 8 year olds as of 4/30/15)
– 10U minor league (for 9 and 10 year olds as of 4/30/15)
– 12U Major League (for 11 and 12 year olds as of 4/30/15)
The league will have a draft just like we have in the spring. Players from out of town are encouraged to enter the draft, as practice times will be very limited due to fall activities (School, other sports, etc). Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday and teams should rarely have to play on both nights. Out of town teams will be considered on a case-by-case basis, as to maintain the competitive balance within the age groups. Each age group must have at least 3 teams in order to make a league.
If an age division does not have enough teams to make a league, you will be issued a prompt, full refund.
