Thornhill Files for Mayor Elections

Thomas “Sonny” Thornhill filed, Monday morning, for candidacy for Mayor of Monticello as an independent. He is running for the special election and general election.
He is a seventh generation Arkansan and has lived in Monticello all his life.
He’s served this city, community, state, and country.
He joined the Arkansas Army National Guard as an infantryman in 1996. He was deployed to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and is an Iraqi War veteran, from 2004 to 2005. He was a recruiter for the National Guard for seven and a half years. He still serves in the National Guard.
He served as Monticello Alderman Ward 3 from 2001 to 2003.
He is married to Desiree and has three beautiful young ladies, Gianna, Nicolette and Soelee.
He wants Monticello to keep growing and stay a great place to live for years to come.
