1:30pm Update / Capital Murder Trial, Opening Arguments
January 26th, 2016 by Joe BurgessOpening arguments began at 1 pm, Tuesday, in the case of Jonathan Woods, who is facing a possible death sentence, for the kidnapping and capital murder of Samantha Poole, in March of 2014.Prosecutor Frank Spain described how Woods attacked her inside of the Sav-a-lot store, pulling her out of the store by her hair. He then described the shots that were fired as Ms. Poole was killed, and as an officer shot Woods, to stop the events, that night.
Spain then described the store and police car videos from that night, and photos of the crime scene, and of the victim, from the crime lab.
The defense will address the jury next
