June 10th, 2022 by Joe BurgessOn June 6th, at approximately 7:30 A.M., agents of the Drew County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas State Police, FBI, and the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence in Collins, AR. At the residence, the home owner, Terrell K. Hackney JR, age 52 of Collins, and Amanda S Hoover, age 40 of Drew County, were placed under arrest.
During the search, agents discovered a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine, a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and three firearms.
Terrell K. Hackney JR was taken before Circuit Judge Laurie Bridewell on June 7 for a first appearance. Hackney was issued a bond of a $100,000.00 on the charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana) with the purpose to deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons, Simultaneous Possession of Drug and Firearms, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (4 Counts).
Amanda S. Hoover was issued a $75,000.00 Bond and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, and Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance of Methamphetamine.
Both remain in the Drew County Dentition
Facility at this time.
“I would like to thank all the agencies and personnel that participated in the operation regarding the execution of the search warrants.” – Sheriff Mark Gober
During the bond hearing, Hackney’s previous convictions for breaking and entering, theft of property, terroristic threatening, and possession of controlled substance, had a substantial affect on his bond being set at that amount.
Likewise the fact that Hoover was on probation for prescription fraud, and had a history of failing to appear in court, also affected her bond amount.
